Some Americans who support the U.S. government have become so arrogant that they believe spitting in the face of anyone posing a moral question suffices as an answer. They spit upon thoughtful moral challengers, whether they are foreigners or American dissidents to government's policies.
Spit, spit. That's about all those yahoos can do. One days the U.S. Empire will crumble, and it would be nice if it happened during the lifetime of the spitters, wouldn't it?
But, to answer your question, when a group of people gain the advantage of having tremendous power, one of the first things they will do is set about trying to organize the world to their own ends. They impose their will on other groups by force, and they punish anybody who rebels against the imposition of servitude upon their shoulders. And they vigilantly watch for anyone else trying to gain the same advantage which lets them behave like a bully.
It's easy to understand why. If you've been strutting around for decades, cowing people with the only gun in town, using threats to exact tribute and privileges, the very last thing you want to hear is that somebody else is making homemade rifles and ammo in his basement. It might make you a bit nervous, you see. Bullies fear the day when someone else will be strong enough to bring retribution upon them.
The biggest fools around are the sort of Americans who prostitute themselves to the government as volunteer cheerleaders. Of all the people on Earth whom the U.S. government oppresses, only a few who are directly under the guns of its armed minions are more oppressed than the average U.S. citizen is.
And, in the blink of an eye, any U.S. citizen can fall under an oppression even greater than the prisoners in Guantanamo. Do some research, starting with RANDY WEAVER and GORDON KAHL.

FOR A FEW REASONS #1 BEING BECAUSE WE CAN AND WE HAVE THE SUPPORT OF THE UN COUNCIL. #2 NORTH KOREA AND IRAN BOTH HAVE NUTTY RULERS THAT MOST LIKELY WOULD USE NUKES TO KILL OR THREATEN OTHERS WITH. 3# THE US GOVERNMENT WOULD NOT USE NUKES UNLESS THE ENTIRE USA WAS GOING TO BE TAKEN OVER, OR THE WORLD WAS BEING TAKEN OVER.
