To the people above me, plecos and chinese algea eaters are not bottom feeders - they are algea eaters. Plecos also grow over 2 feet long.
I recommend a cory catfish. They come in many colors and types (Panda, Emerald, Albino..ect) and they only get 3 inches big.

In a 5 gallon tank, pretty one with a small floor section like this one, you are able to in difficulty-free words upload 5" of fish. do not upload a gourami with a betta, they'll wrestle. A betta OR gourami and four white clouds might want to somewhat be pushing it. 3 white clouds can cause them to sense slightly below pressure, they prefer to school. The betta will imagine a male guppy is a touch betta and kill it.

Corydoras julii (Leopard Catfish) they only grow to 2 1/2" so you can get a few of them

mine are some kind of chineese suckers(bottom feeders) i've got two and they keep my 10 gal pretty clean

i would suggest chinese algae eater or siamese algae eater, "cory" (corydora) catfish are also popular. All three are very active and easy to maintain.
