there is a show called mythbusters which i am sure you have heard of if not look them up on the internet but they took a mercedes, not sure of the year, got some used restaurant grease and oil, strained it put it directly into the gas tank and the car not only ran but got exactly the same mileage as if they had used diesel ! and this was free used oil that restaurants all over the country just want hauled off !

Not in a gas running car unless you Modify it to run on biodiesel and yes you can run a car on Alcohol Gas and diesel as it been done in south America they already got cars that can run on all three and yes a guy did modify a car to run on fryer oil which he got for free form fast food chains who fry a lot of food however there one flaw to that idea if to many people started converting to it fast food chains would instead of give it away free would start charging for it in reaction to the high demand and if that got to expensive you can then buy cooking oil but that 6-8 dollar a gallon that would not be much of a choice

The grease thing is true, I saw a program on the local news in Bakersfield , CA. A guy rigged up his car to run on the grease of restaraunts. He has a special filtration system at home where he puts in old grease he gets for free from restaraunts and filters out all the chunks and waste products. He rigged a kit to his fuel system that allows it to run on the grease that he creates. THey were saying that when he drove by it smelt like french fries. He sells the kit to convert your car, but you would have to build a filtration system to filter out the chunks from the food wastes.
Also you would have to convince restaraunts to give you their oil, and you couldnt go very far from your house because you would have to use the filtered oil intead of straight from the restaraunt.

Yes. You will need a pre-heater and a good filtration system. Some systems use a smaller 1 gallon Petrol diesel as a engine starter then switch to a bio-tank.
