Kirby - a bit pricey ( more than $1000) but well worth it, Suction is great!! it can be portable for your car/ steps. can also foam clean your carpet for deep cleaning /stain removal.I had oreck and diff kinds in the past. Nothing compared with kirby.

There are numerous robotic vacuum cleaners available in the market these days. Choosing the best out of them could be quite a difficult task. But as far as my personal experience is concerned, www.irobot.in have proved to be the best investment I have made this area. It s been 25 years since iRobot entered the market with its revolutionary products and has been leaders since then.

iRobot is a pretty good buy, especially if you need to get some cleaning done when you re short of time. The best feature of iRobot, of course, is that it s robotic so it saves a lot of time, and more importantly, it requires little or no supervision.

Besides, it does a really good job of sprucing up your space. It detects changes in the surface and adjusts itself. And you don t have to worry about corners because it automatically turns around when it comes across one.
Maintenance is also simple - you just have to keep sharp articles away from its way and replace the brushes when required.

I have to have a canister. You can clean everything with it. Uprights are worthless as far as I am concerned. I have had two Kenmores in the past 23 years. That's how long they last. They have Hepa filters, but I have yet to tell what the difference is in Hepa or not Hepa??!! I always change my filter when it is half full.

I would put that machine up against any other vacuum out there.
I once chased a mouse and sucked him half across the room!

I clean a whole room with ONE attachment, including the window sills...........You won't be sorry. Sears is the only store that sells them.

Then stay away from the cheaper vacuums.

IMHO uprights are fine for carpets, but if you'll also be doing furniture, drapes, etc, nothing beats a canister.

Bagless machines may be convenient, but messy.I'm assuming you want a HEPA filter to keep the air clean. I can deal with bag machines most of the time, but also have a water system Rainbow when I'm mad at the bag machine.

Miele are very popular with people with several allergies. They are pricey machines, but seem to rate high. (no, I don't own one as I'm not currently in neat freak mode)

Dyson is absolutely the best vacuum you can get. I've owned many a vacuum in my lifetime and would highly recommend the Dyson. It has the best suction and nothing ever goes wrong with it.

Eureka Sanitaire!!! Best vacuum going. Don't be fooled by all the gimmicks on other vacuums. This one is the best. I work at a Catholic School. We have 15 of these. They are the best!!!!

Clean freak eh?

Do you wanna retrofit? I would put in a whole house vacuum system.. (probably get it in for about 500 or so bucks.

They vent out to the outside of the house, so that you NEVER have to worry about dust being blown around if the filter gets dirty. (They also have a hepa filter).

Basically, just the PVC in the walls, and the electric, and the vacumn cleaner hangs in the basement with the outlet going out the basement sill.

Just an idea.

I wish you well..

I have a Panasonic I bought from the carpet store. I like it. I would never buy a Hoover they are for crap. I heard the Dysons are pretty good but have never had one.
Good Luck
