I suggest that you give him the best that you have, just remember not to take it too serious though, its not an interview for a new job. Tell him that you are a very responsible person and you really enjoy the area, and tell him some key points on why you like the place, such as its closer to school and convienent for yourself. If you have to, If you happen to be paying any bills currently such as car payment...etc...then let him know that you pay them on time, and that you are responsible with your bills (even if you have been a few days before late, rent is one of the most important things to have on time)

The way I've always handled it seems to work. First, make a list of questions you have about the property ... utilities, trash service, public transportation, etc. Call the number listed and ask to speak with someone about that property. Ask one or two of your questions and wait for the responses. If the property still sounds like something you'd like to rent, tell them so and arrange a time to view the property. Ask them what, if anything, you need to bring to sign a rental contract when you look at the property. They will tell you what they need or want from you because they want to rent the property as much as you want to rent it. Show up for the appointment on time and dressed nicely -- not fancy, just clean and proper. Be polite in person, ask the rest of your questions, listen to what they tell you and make a decision whether you want to rent or not. If you still want to rent the property, tell them that you'd like to sign a contract and pay a deposit. And let it work from there. Mostly, it's a business transaction and you have to treat it like a business transaction -- be polite, be respectful, be prompt, etc. and everything will work out.

tell them exactly what you just said, that you really want this apartment and that not only are they nice apartments but that you will also benefit from living there since the college you go to is so close. You will have an application to fill out and they check your bakground and refferences if all is good you most likely get approved unless they don't have any available.......good luck

Just be confident. The fact that you're 18 shouldn't matter. The landlord is probably looking for studets and will be happy to speak with you.

Doesn't matter what age you are, or your situation. As long as you can afford it, and prove that you can afford it. Then you'll get it. And since you're 18, you will probably need a co-signer. Maybe give mom and dad a ring.

Well when you first call you should have questions prepared:
-how much for a one bedroom
-how many square footage
-what ammentities does it include (i.e. washer and dryer, dishwasher, garbage disposal)
-mim and maxium income requirement
-do you allow pets
-What should i bring in with me to fill out an application/do I need a co-signer
Then go in looking and sounding professional.

Inquire about the rent, the term of the lease, if there are any additional costs you will be required to pay, the amenities (pool, laundry facilities, etc)
