Yes! Your wrong. "Black" or Hip Hop culture is cool. Emo is just really popular right now. But it doesn't take away from anything else.
Emo could never "replace" Rap/Hip Hop. C'mon now. Lmao.
For 1, they're two totally diff types of music.
and
Not every 1 likes Emo.

I have the feeling that emo is somewhat of a flash in the pan. The wierd thing is....what is the emo sound? What makes a band emo? They sing about their feelings? That is foolish because every band does that. I don't really consider emo a genre of music but more a demographic of person...ie the wierd haircut and clothes etc.

Rap is chugging along just fine. I do think that the quality of rap is in the toilet. They just take a street phrase and turn it into a song. There doesn't seem to be too much more behind the lyrics. Plus emo kids play insturments...I give them credit for that.

emo is cool. but it's not like rap is out though. whatever you think cool is, that's cool. that's how i am. i think emo is cool and some people don't.

i always tell yo mamma jokes! my [emo] group and i are very sarcastic, so we tell tehm all the time!

but i'm going to tell you, one: if you're gonna go emo to be 'cool' not cool dude. it's gonna make you look like a poser. emo is a lifestyle, not an overnight thing. two: to all ya'll who think emo is self harm YOU'RE WRONG.

thanks much (if i was dissing, sorry)

I don't know if it is no more of it or not, but it still makes MILLIONS in the world market. It is a BILLION DOLLAR industry. So, don't expect a culture to disappear. "(ghetto, playa, n*gga, pimp, rap, yomama jokes)" Why relate this to Black culture?. I see other races into it too, or is it that we sold it to them?.. Hell yea ***** youu are wrong.

you shouldn't be typing n*gga because u are a white girl. some people think emo is in and some dont think emo is in. some prefer hip hop...if u look at mtv and most notably TRL both types of music are played....you sound like a poseur trying to find out what o listen to and dress like next...well not to be mean....dont worry about whats in like what u want not what people and TRL want u to like. be an individual ....not a poseur.

Both are still very "in". Kids are either wearing skin tight black jeans, or their pants hanging down to their ankles. Whatever happened to the good old days when metal was in?

ok. what i tell you is the TRUTH and you should listen. Just focus on who you are and dont be so manipulated by the people around you saying you should do this or do that. because it doesnt really matter what is "in". seriously it doesnt matter at all. just be you and you'll fit right in. if the people dont like you then WHO CARES. they'll get over it and you'll find WAAAAAAAY BETTER friends to hang with.! k
