Has anyone ever bought a relatively upscale watch from amazon.com? I am looking at movado watches for my girlfriend but I dont understand why they are so cheap at amazon?

Is this reliable? Is it packaged as if you bought it at a jeweler?

Any details would really help. Thanks

I have purchased many Nice items from Amazon. They have a good return policy and the items are the same as in any other store. They may be selling an outdated model or closeout. Find out the model number and research it on the web. Do not buy from their auction or used site. They have no control over those items.

Try overstock.com and smartbargain.com for good prices on Movados. I am wearing one now. I love it. Paid $600. on overstock about 3 years ago and it is still running on the original battery. These are reputable merchants that will gladly refund your money if you are not happy with your purchase.

I have to disagree with the first answer. Don't buy from amazon or Overstock. I bought my mother a watch that NEVER worked and they would not take the return at Overstock. Only buy from the maker or makers website or some department store with a reputible name. If it is too good to be true, it's probably not true.

i too have bought some nice watches on amazon but also look into ebay because you could get a steal since some of the watches are upscale and way below retail.
