Auras, crystals, karma, past life regressions, horoscopes, superstitions, palm reading, astral projection -- they all belong in the trash bin with the rest of the concepts invented by people who were too lazy to think.

Everyone can be taught to see the outer layer of the aura, but normally only very intuned psychic people can see the inner layers which are more colourful and represent the higher energies. Try looking in a mirror at yourself. A full length one is best and it's also easier in a room with a white painted background. Don't look directly at your face but slightly beyond it, as if you're focussing on a point slightly to the top of your head. Then relax and keep looking at that point, and eventually you will start to see a white glow of light around your head - that's your aura. You'll get better with practice and be able to see the outer layers of the aura around other people anywhere.

I don't think you can actually see someone's aura, but rather, you can 'feel it' or 'sense it'.

It's similar to the way you can pick up on the energy a person is surrounded by. It has a lot to do with how they feel about themselves and others. It also has someting to do with their level of empathy and narcissism. We all have different levels, and they guide out perceptions. In turn, our perceptions guide our emotions.

If you have more empathy, and less narcissism, you will be more receptive to the energy another person is surrounded with.

I think this is something that you use your sixth sense for, more than anything else.

Very easily. Stand in front of a mirror that that reflects only your shoulders up. Close your eyes and count to 30. Don't squint your eyes, make sure your eyes remain relaxed.

Open them up and then stare intently into your own eyes. In about a minute or so, you should be able to see in your peripheral vision your own aura. Practice this a few times and you will be able to do it to others also.

But personally, I don't believe it tells you anything. We are all made up of molecules that are packed closely together and kept together through energy. I believe that an aura represents that energy.

I had a psycology professor in college show us how to do it. You look at a person and try to unfocus your vision. The aura will eventually appear in this white glare around the individual.

The only person I ever knew that claimed they could see auras consumed large amounts of illegal recreational pharmaceuticals. My advice would be to not try that method, or take advice from anyone who does.

Either you can see auras or you can't. It's not something you can learn.

In the words of Jimmy Durante: There's some of us as has it, there's some of us as ain't - and you're one of the aint's.
