Until I enlisted into the Mairne Corps, I'd never heard of such a thing, but after being in for four years, I had met at least six people who honestly seemed to think that they were vampires.
These people never seemed to drink blood, of course, and they were always out in the sun with everyone else, so I don't know what their definition of "vampire" is, but it certainly doesn't match mine.

So really, what the crap is up with this?

There are people who think they are 'energy' vampires. I think it's called psyonic. They've read one too many Anne Rice novels, and after trying to sell their soul to Satan in order to become a vampire, and having it fail for obvious reasons, they make up this BS. :P

Seriously, though, they think they feed off the energy of others. I remember one quote from one of them on a message board saying, "Yeah, whenever I enter a room, all the energy from everyone else already in there just drains." And I was like, "Um, maybe it's just that no one likes you." He didn't appreciate that.

Alright! Now this is what I'm talking about! Could you give me the names, addresses, and possibly photos of these 'vampires'? I'll tell you really damn quick if they are. My going rate per head is $25,000 if they are in fact, authentic, but I'm feeling a bit generous recently and I'll settle for as low as $18,000. After all, I use this money to buy more guns and food, don't ya know. You could imagine silver rounds being rather expensive, especially for a .50 caliber sniper rifle. Vampires are possibly the wussiest supernaturals there are, they look powerful on TV, but why are we kidding ourselves? Their the undead equivalent of a leech, or a mosquito, and the the skulls with the fangs look so damn good on my trophy case! Write me back if you need my... services.

Yes, I have met some people who call themselves vampires, both types. Sanguinarian (blood suckers) and Psychic (energy suckers) Personally, I think they are for real, they are not immortals, nor do they believe themselves to be. But when my psychic vamp friend would enter the room, even before I knew she was one, the energy would seem to drain, just being with her I would sometimes feel drained. Than she told me and it all made sense. As for my blood sucking friends, I think they are real vampires and I can see changes in them when they get blood (they are in a good mood, more pleasant to be around, relaxed) and when they don't get blood (become easily angry, easily set off, etc.) but unlike psychic vampires, I don't really know a way to "test" if they are real or not. It all comes down to personal belief. I trust them and they are my friends.

At one time the majority of people on earth believed the earth was flat and that the sun revolved around the earth. They truly believed it and called people who said the world was round and who believed that the earth revolved around the sun, crazy people, psychotics, devil worshipers etc.

There is always some truth to most fictional portrayals. From my experience, there are people who's energy depends on living off the energy of others. They don't stick their psychological fangs into peoples energy, they drain it with purpose. It's not magic, it's survival.

What is food? Satisfaction for your physical body. When people spend the majority of their life getting their emotional and psychic satisfaction from causing others mental distress and leaving them feeling mentally drained, what's the difference.
