Each person does it in their own way. You'll quickly learn what works best for you. My boss, a retired pediatrician told me that he found if he didn't stress so much about studying and didn't cram with his classmats, he did much better.

Anyone can cram for any exam, but the knowledge absorbed for that purpose, is usually on a short term retention. What is the point of passing exams that way? You only `trip over` yourself, later in the real world. When you need the knowledge and your mind is empty; you are hardly of any use to anyone, especially if you are supposed to be a qualified doctor.
