I do feel the same, actually. I honestly believe that cheating is the worst thing a spouse can do, and not just because you're hving sex with another person, but also because of the deceit that goes along with it. In order to have an affair, you have to basically be living a lie. You're lying to your spouse about where you are, why you're home late- basically your whole life becomes one big web of deception, and to me, that is far worse than the actual act itself. I mean, how can you ever trust your spouse again after being lied to like that? Sex is just sex, and a lot of people believe that men have it embedded in their genetic code to "spread the seed," but if some men do feel that way, the least they could do is avoid committed relationships and live their lives as a "seed spreader" with partners who also like that kind of free llifestyle. Don't lie and cheat on the person who loves you more than anything else in the world. And if you both don't feel that way about each other anymore, then do yourselves both a service and end the marriage or relationship before you go around having affairs.

When I was single I had 4 or 5 relationships with married women.
They all were lacking something in their marriages and all I did was fill a niche.
Being married now and having a wife who had an affair (I know pay back) I realize that its more than "JUST" an excuse. Relationships have real needs that must be meet for them to survive. The funny thing is the needs are rarely what you are asking for.

I do and you are right there is never an excuse for cheating . Once a cheater always a cheater there is a reason for that saying. I did not put up with it with the 1 st marriage and 2nd marriage. I did away with both of them. I am on my 3rd and I can honestly say that this is the best relationship I have ever had. He is so good to me. He and i feel the same way about cheating . You do it you are gone out of my life. Forever and amen. Good luck and god bless you.

I think everything has a cause and effect. Like, if you're hungry, you eat. If you want to watch TV, you turn it on. If you aren't getting the attention you think you need, you get it from where ever you do. Not so much an "excuse", but a "reason" could be what they mean. I don't agree with cheating at all. Actually, I think some people are just compulsive with it, and can't help themselves. Like thieves and liars.

a cheater is a selfish person, they dont care about the spouse or the kids. If you are married you dont touch other people but your spouse, there is no excuse for affairs. As far as leaving them. I dont know, how long they been screwin' the other person and how many differant people they have been with needs to be looked at. If you really think they feel remorse and are sorry i would work it out. my wife wont give me the time of day to work our marraige out. So who knows how long she has been sleeping around

Cheating is not part of my vocabulary and never will be. I did it when I was only 14 and that was enough for me. The devastation in the other persons eyes was too much to take. NEVER EVER again. NO excuses. I could not fathom.

Exactly - except it should be only after a divorce, not just a separation, when the spouse could move on. Til then, you are still married. And the cheater only feels sorry when he or she is caught.

It's a very human trait to try and come up with explanation for anything and everything. "Explanation" is not the same as "excuse", and a lot of explanations and excuses are lame, as is in the case of cheating.

I agree with you. They try to justify it because they know its wrong. Cheating is not justifiable. The cheating party puts their spouse at risk when they do thoses stuff.
Shame on them.
