I just finished The Magician's Nephew this morning, and I read The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe a few years ago. So what's next?

The chronological order of the events in the books is as follows:
1. The Magicians Nephew
2. The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe
3. The Horse and His Boy
4. Prince Caspian
5. The Voyage of the Dawn Treader
6. The Silver Chair
7. The Last Battle

I have strong opinions on the order of the Chronicles of Narnia and typically feel that the order they were written in is the 'only' proper order to read them. (which would be 1) The Lion the Witch and The Wardrobe 2) Prince Caspian 3) The Voyage of the Dawn Treader 4) The Silver Chair 5) The Horse and His Boy 6) The Magician's Nephew 7) The Last Battle.)

My recommendation would be for you to read Prince Caspian next and then Voyage of the Dawn Treader. They are by far the better books. I for one have always found The Horse and His Boy to be the most boring and nonessential book of the whole series. The kids (Peter, Edmund, Susan, Lucy) appear only in the last third of the book and they are the adult kings and queens. Nothing happens in the plot of that entire book that is relevant to the rest of the series.

Actually the Magician's Nephew comes first then The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe. The next one you want to read is The Horse and his Boy and then Prince Caspian and the Voyage of the Dawn Treader.

The chronological order is:

The Magician's Nephew

The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe

The Horse and his Boy

Prince Caspian

The Voyage of the Dawn Treader

The Silver Chair

The Last Battle.

The order they were written in is:

The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe

Prince Caspian

The Voyage of the Dawn Treader

The Silver Chair

The Horse and his Boy

The Magician's Nephew

The Last Battle.

You can read them in either order. It doesn't matter. I have read them in both orders and still been able to follow the story all the way to the end. Since you started with 'The Magican's Nephew', I suggest you read 'The Horse and his Boy' next. Hope this helps.

The correct chronological order is:

The Magician's Nephew
The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe
A Horse and His Boy
Prince Caspian
The Voyage of the 'Dawn Treader'
The Silver Chair
The Last Battle

These books were not originally wriiten in this order, but if read in this order, you'll read the correct chronological chain of events.

Next one would be "Prince Caspian" and then "Voyage of the Dawn Treader."

they all intermix, so it's not a big deal... you might try finding a a book with all of them in it, and going in that order.. That's what I did.
