I would like to charge a battery by connecting a dynamo and a solar panel (0.8V and 1.2V respectively). How shall I connect the two, in parallel or in series?

Battery Voltage = 1.5V (or less)

Connect them in series. Connecting them in parallel may damage your solar panel. There isn't much of a voltage difference, but, then, it's 50% of the output of your solar panel, which will seriously impede any output from the panel, if nothing else.

Series is a very bad idea, you do not want to use a dynamo to drive current through a solar cell.

Do you really mean 0.8V, that is not much of a dynamo and you are not going to charge very much with it.

In series as connecting them in parallel may damage both devices

What's the fully charged voltage of your battery?

For more resistance connect it in series.but for little resistance connect in parallel.
