I'm a goth, but I do like some good industrial, and occasionally run across metal that makes me question my taste in music since it's so much better than the stuff I usually listen to- like Nightwish. They're what Evanescense would be with talent and backbone.

Decent goth/industrial music that might interest you would be Wumpscut, Apoptygma Berzerk, and VNV Nation (at least lately- they can get pretty mopey and slow).The Last Dance is worth a look, too- if you're familiar with the Cruxshadows, TLD is like that, but heavier. You might like Stromkern if you like heavier vocals.

When searching for tunes, I highly reccommend checking out Asleep By Dawn magazine- its free, comes with a cd, and is associated with an offbeat music distributor.

well there's always alice cooper, 45 grave,and type o negative. but really goth and metal are two compleatly different styles of music, if you like metalish music but insist on being somehow "goth" you should look for industrial bands, wumpscut is a good one, so is skinny puppy, they are the same genre as nine inch nails *technically* but nin is not as hardcore industrial as the non-mainstream artists.

i'm Pantera and Mudvayne Headbanger Chica. (however, i would not seen that mainstream, a minimum of the place i'm residing, I on no account hear any of those bands on the radio.) Heavy guitars, is quite perfect and comforting to me -- i understand surprising. i admire Femme Gothic Heavy steel (Theatre of Tragedy, continually Slave, Lunatica). Majority, of it quite is remote places, the two Norwegian or Finnish. No radio stations play any of those bands.
