The Walmart store brand candles smell really good, and disperse the scent throughout the room...I think the brand is called home something...but theyre the cheaper ones, come in all sizes, and are going to be the majority of the candles you'll find there. In general when buying scented candles you want to make sure the scent is in the whole thing- which means they will be a solid color throughout, not a color on the outside and white in the middle. For incense I prefer buying the stuff that the stores will sell in individual sticks. I don't know the brand name but you can usually find decent stuff in record stores or head shops, maybe candle shops too. Good luck!

PartlyLite Candles are really the best candles. They work really well and the scent wafts through the air and lingers nicely. Higher end candles from department stores might work, but I use PartyLite. Cheap candles are more ways, without essential oils all the way throughout lose scent shortly after they begin burning.

I buy 100% soy candles from Common Scent Gifts. They burn without soot or toxins and have great scent throws. They burn to the bottom of the jar too so there is now wasted wax.

Yankee tarts, you burn those in little burners and I was very amazed with Glade candles, they come with a small glass candle holder. You just buy replacement candles they come 3 in a pack. Both of these smell great for HOURS!

You might want to try Yankee Candles' Housewarming candles. They're specifically made to cast their scent far and wide, and they have a wide range of scents. You can probably find one that you'll like.
