If the Amish people don't wnat their pictures taken, as it 'steals their souls', do they get state ID's? How's all that work? Or driver's licenses, even though they don't have cars, just the buggies.

Driving a buggy does not require a drivers license. No they are not issued state id's, although they can get them from the state motor vehicle departments (most issue identication cards).

The pictures having to do with stealing the souls is a bit of exaggeration, it actually has do with the commandment regarding graven images. Graven images are considered prideful and not of humility.

FYI they do have social security cards for ID but only for filing taxes etc. They do not collect Social Security or pay into it. They sign a religious waiver.

They don't need ID's in their communities.
