anything available in nature i.e. was there without human intervention. for it to be called a resource is relative according to wether you use it or not. e.g. time ,water, forests, jungles, air , sand , crude metals , petroleum , etc

A Resouce is something you can draw on to gain something. Like a Library is a resource for information. A NATURAL resource would be like a constant flowing river, as a "Natural resource" for water. Trees are a natural resouce from which we get wood for burning and paper for writing. Minerals or Oils from the ground such as Crude Oil, natural Gas, Gold and Copper are also considered to be Natural REsources.
