I've always had terrible cramps, what really works best for me is taking PMS vitamins (twice a day) one week before I start, and the week of my period. Also, if you can't find the vitamins, try the Traditional Medicinals PMS tea. You can find it at any health store, or on line at www.traditionalmedicinals.com. It really works only if you use it correctly.

I have struggled with painful cramps for over 15 years and have tried just about everything (Midol, Advil, Tylenol 1s and 3s, Anaprox, etc). I have found that Motrin and a heating pad works best for me. And if it's really bad you might want to see your doctor or gyno about it just to make sure it's not something more serious like a cyst or endemetriosis or something. Good luck!

Pain killers along with a heating pad. If you exercises before your period that will relieve the cramps. This is because the muscles are relaxed and don't have to work as hard as they did if they weren't stretched out.

Take some pain medicine...if you have strong painkillers, take one of those....if not you might want to get a perscription from your Dr. or take an Advil or Midol...whatever you have for pain....Until the pill kicks in I would suggest taking a hot bath or shower. The hot water will ease your pain
