I would pick up a backup. Plummer is servicable for one or two games, but who else is available in your league?

Plummer is just fine.
He's a notorius slow starter. Still, he's a great play when at home. I wouldn't drop him for an rookie QB, or Jon Kitna, Brad Johnson.
If someone kicks Eli Manning to the curb, that's a different story. You are set with McNabb, minus the bye week..
Plummer's a 20 TD 10 INT guy. Nice, but not spectacular.

Plummer's a solid backup. There are plenty of snatchable qbs, though. I dropped McNair for Carr. I also hear Alex Smith is doing well. I think Plummer's actually on a FA list on my other league -- I have Favre and Trent Green though, so I kept them. Don't be scared to let the idea play out in your head some more. Sometimes when you make quick decisions you make the wrong move. Oh, and it could be that Plummer's better than any FA qbs, so...

I have McNabb in all 4 of my leagues and he's been boosting me as well (I am winning in 3 of 4). I plan on only using my back-up for week 9 bye. I have Vick vs. Det in one league, Losman vs. GB in 2 of them, and Bledsoe v. Was in the 4th. You should be ok with Plummer vs. Pit on week 9. See what other QB's are available in your league and what the matchups look like for week 9. I wouldn't make any moves until then however, unless there is an injury.

You will only need a backup for 1 week... and thats the mcnabb bye week
if there are a few waiver wire QBs available... trade or drop plummer until you need another QB..
if theres not much at qb hold onto him for now

Unless you're in a league ful of idiots it's doubtful you'll be able to pick up a backup better then Jake without making a trade. Denvers schedule is really attractive the rest of the way and unless McNabb gets hurt he's going to be in your line up every week except one.

That question is pointless. You don't even say who the other quarterbacks are on the free agents list in your league. How are we going to know who you should pick instead of Plummer. I'd pick someone else intead of Plummer knowing who is on the free agents list.

no, but you should really only use him at home, but why do you care you have McNabb?
