i scanned the answers and found what i knew, when faced with a difficult question that cannot have a proven black and white answer people tend to use something they have been taught to answer the question, , , or not answer it at all, or complain about your grammer.
the answer to this question lies not in the teachings of guesswork but in common sense.
each star is a sun, each sun has planets (more or less) and a great number of them would have planets with equal habitation value for species inhabiting the earth.
since each individual possesses a soul (the term used in the bible i believe) and since that does not die (which is what spawned the idea of heaven), the quadrillion trillions of souls have to have somewhere to light.
we are pretty much all in motion all the time and i dont know about you, i dont spend much time lying around underground, and planets do die, just like our body, when this happens, the planet, in this case earth, is no longer inhabitable.
i for one will be traveling to another planet at that time (if not before)
common data tells us the population grows all the time, common sense tells us the reason for this is a planet in close proximity has either been made unfit for habitation or has encountered a pretty big war or other disaster and will take time to replenish itself.
its a big merry go round, but yes, plenty of planets.
and i wont bother checking my spelling, , , im sure my grammer aint too good neither.

People think Mars to have life because it is almost the twin of Earth, but Life needs Water, Oxygen, and an Atmosphere to hold in other gases. Mars along with the other planets lack these necessary items. So in our Galaxy it's just us and tiny organisms. But I highly even doubt that.

There is life on each and every planet.
However it has not been scientifically proved the existence of life.
Also, life on various planets may differ from that living on Earth.
In the Holy book of Islam it has been very clearly mentioned about Life in the entire Galaxy in different forms. Need not necessarily mean Humans.

A few years ago a Mars meteorite was found and tested positive for a small single celled life form that had died out millions or years ago. I think we would be foolish to believe there isn't anyone else out there.

How many grains of sand are there on any sea shore?
Sands on the sea shore are like bodies in space, just as numerous. So you have one grain of sand, from the sea shore, it has life on it. You cannot fathom the number of the other grains of sand, but you would venture to say that nature put only life on this grain?
That is without reason, out of over billions of grain's of sand, only this one!
Nothing in nature supports that line of thought?
Less than one billion minutes ago, Jesus walked on earth.
Just to give you some sort of number value reference to billion.
