Whereas saving money is the name of the game as a consumer, I do appreciate the theory that anyone who has faith left in humanity has obviously never worked retail.

Nah .The ones that drive me totally nutz are the ones that pick out the best stuff for sale in the store,,,and then ask you for a discount on it..or make you an offer for it way below the priced amount!
Talk bout cheap! And the more money they have,,,the more of a discount they want...even if they are only buying a $5.00 item!
Thank you for letting me vent!
Happy Holidaze...and Thankfully ...January will soon be here!
lol

Isn't that why you were hired? to help the customers? Your salary must be based on comisson.
I work in retail, and I always point out the better buys to my customers. Saving money is what shopping is all about.

I've worked retail for over 30 yrs......since when did Christmas time make a difference, except for the fact the customers just get NASTIER!!!!!! ALL of them need to be forced by law to work retail for ONE measly week and by gawd, they'd be a little more RESPECTFUL and learn to PUT UP their crap instead of dropping whereve they changed their mind about it. Ogodhelpusall. www.customerssuck.com hahaha!!! vent away!

I don't work on commission, so that doesn't affect how I help customers. I do custom ordering and designing, and I find that people want us to everything for nothing. They want it custom, done yesterday and they want to pay the least amount for it. I get sick of it. I do custom framing for art, and sometimes when they tell me right off that they want to be cheap, I tell them that thumb tacks start at 99 cents.
