For the same reason they think it was OK for both Bush & Condi to remain on vacation while people drowned in their homes and died on the streets of New Orleans during and after Katrina. Apparently, waiting until the disaster gets really really big before reacting is part of the administrations policy.

And what should he have done? Run to the nearest Telephone booth and put on his Superman uniform and stop the other planes single handedly? Or is it that he acted calmly and rationaly that really scares you...Because I think a lib would have been out of there and left a bunch of crying traumitized kids in his wake running for the nearest manhole cover...

IF a Demorat was EVER able to follow an entire story, you would have known that he did not want to rush out of the classroom and cause undo fear to the children. It is like when your spouse found out you are brain dead and didn't want your kids to know right away. And, NO, he had no way of know that other highjacked planes were still in the air. What would you have wanted him to do, Go and hide in a bomb shelter like Slick Willie would have?

What would you have had him do, run for an air raid shelter? If he had immediately jumped up and ran the loony libs would have accused him of inciting a panic. There's nothing he could have done in that 8 minutes that would have made any difference, no matter how many times you Democrankies keep bringing it up. Get a new tune, this one's worn out.

What should he have done. Run out of the room in a panic. The towers were already hit. He didn't know it was a terrorist act until later. Stop trying to rekindle an old fire.

I wondered why he didn't rip into his superman outfit and stop the other planes also.
8 Minutes...you act like he committed a crime.

With all due respect, what could he have done to prevent the other two planes from crashing?

I agree Bush is an idiot, but that event was not one of his many idiocies. His many, many many, many, many, many idiocies.
It would be nice if every leader could react immediately and logically to an emergency. But this is not Star Trek, we are not talking about Captain Kirk. This was a real man in a real situation, hearing that real citizens were dead, with no end (then) in sight. I think it was not wrong for him to pause.
I only wish to hell he had paused longer, and engaged his brain at some point.

Why do think Bill Clinton gave reactors and millions of dollars to North Korea before any attack.
Quit trying to blame Bush for what you liberals and terrorists are responsible for.
