Yeah - hurts, doesn't it ? Bad luck. These things are easily fixed these days with keyhole surgery, and the right physiotherapy. When I did mine many years ago, I was on crutches for three bloody months.

years ago playing semi pro i had acl reconstruction (anterior cruciate ligament)thats painful your cartilidge is your protection either side of your knee if they operate they would normally just clean or remove cartilidge dont worry just sort the problem out now your normally out of action 4 to 6 weeks just dont rush things trust me ive had 3 major knee opps and havent played football since but it doesnt matter im 34 now and have a family hopes that helped

Yes, I did the same playing basketball. Had to have surgery on it and have had to be less active since--I was told that if I wasn't careful I was going to need a more serious surgery on BOTH knees, the other one for compensating for eth first-- Best of luck!!

Damn....not good. I had some "minor" surgery on my knee last year. It hasn't been the same since. Hurts when it going to rain, Sore allot of the time. Causes me to limb at times. It will never be right again, Too Bad!!!!

Tore my medial meniscus but have since learned to live with what little pain I have. However todays medicine can fix a knee very easily so someday I will get it fixed.

Nope, I think you're likely the very first person ever to injure such a part of your anatomy! I did have a knee replaced, though.

I haven't, but when my big borther was in high school he was a wrestler, and he tore the cartalidge in his knee, and had to have surgery to get it removed. Good luck to you, hopefully yours isn't as bad.
