And today, it melted for Toronto!

I actually used to live in Buffalo for most of my life, I've been in the NYC area now for 6+ years. Anyways, my parents and grandmother are still there, and they told me about the lightning and trees coming down, etc. And yes, the snow is still there. My parents lost power from some time last night and it JUST came on around 2 p.m. today. I was so worried they would get frozen out of the house!!

Every time someone asks me where I am originally from, I get the old "snow" jokes. Well, I guess they have the right to make their comments after the past couple days....gees!

By the way, my parents are in Grand Island, and my grandma is in Kenmore. (Not sure how familiar you are with the area, but there are suburbs just north of Buffalo.) They didn't get it quite as bad as Buffalo (the city) and south of the city. But my dad still said that they got hit pretty bad too. Their cable line (for TV) even fell down. Luckily, it didn't break, but now Adelphia will need to come by and put it back up.

I'm getting married there next May (Memorial Day Weekend). I sure hope it doesn't snow then!!! LOL.
