Tandori Chicken. Tastes just like bbq chicken.
It should come with rice a veggie, and Naan (flat bread that is super yummy)
Make sure you go with folks that you are close to that are experienced Indian dinners so you can sample their plates.
Indian is great cuisine, pay no attention to these folks who can't order without grunting and pointing to a picture on a wall with a number on it.

Best is to check with the staff there since they would be having people who don't eat very spicy food. They will describe the range of spicyness for you to choose from. You can also specifically ask them to reduce the spice, most often they will comply.
Like some people mentioned Korma and Spinach based dishes are a safe bet, and so are yogurt based dishes. Daals (lentils) like tadka daal are also usually good and goes well with Naan (Indian flat bread).

Chicken Tikka Masala and Chicken Korma are my favouties. I love them because they are not too spicy. Order pompadoms ( probably 2 each) which should come with yummy mango chutney. Also, to start, along with the pompadoms order some garlic naan bread to share. Remember that in most indian restaurants you must order your rice seperately from your main dish.
Enjoy!

first time id go for a lunch buffet. most of them are around 7.95$ for all you can eat. try out the different things. if you go for ala catre, keep in mind that each dish is around 10 bucks and you need at least three per person (they have small portions) plus naan (bread)
trust me i am from india and i have taken many friends to indian restaraunts.
once you get the hang of the spicy stuff you will love it. the ebst food ever. ggod luck

well, depending on if it is northern or southern indian (it's different!)
but yeah, Naan is gooood, their appetizer type bread
curry can be kinda spicy/rich/sweet (they put in coconut, kinda tastes like thai curry)
chicken is usually good
remember a lot of things may have rich sauces, they use a lot of creams and stuff, but overall it's pretty good. have a good time!

Well try/ask for the non-spicy food first and then work in the chilli bit by bit.
Samosas are always a good starters.

When you first enter the Tee-Pee you need to say 'How' and hold up your right hand (palm facing the indian)
Then you need to sit legs crossed.
Tell the indian you would love to try the Buffalo.
Tell him you hear it is very good.
Then tell him you like his bow and arrow. (Indians get off on this)
Then after you eat.....tell him to tell you the future. They will gladly do it.
Then sit around and smoke opiates with the indian.
Then tell him your wallet is in your car.
When you get to your car simply drive off. The indians cant call the police. Tee-Pees have no phones.
