I'm the computer administrator where I work and if I wanted to see what one of our employees was doing on his or her computer all I'd have to do is go to our server and bring up that person's computer account and I'd be able to see what all that person has done in great detail on our local network or on the internet.

YES you go through their servers, and that means that the Sys Admins can see EVERYTHING you have done on your computer! Don't take chances and work and if confronted, state you won't do it again and don't.

Worked for The Boeing Company for over 10 years and one of my good friends' husband was a Sys Admin, and he showed me how he could click anyone's computer and SEE anything, real time or history! Be careful at work people :)

Ummm. They are not gonna look into your computer for the internet usage. If your company has a proxy server or any other means of logging internet usage, they already have your detailed history. Deleting cookies on your computer is not going to make any difference.

You should have used SSH tunneling.

Yes, that's true. You shouldn't do anything too weird or illegal on a work computer because they will probably catch you.
