homeopathy is not placebo since a placebo is not really a medicine but something used to run test studies...a blank, in otherwords.
homeopathy does contain the substance or medicine in it in diluted amounts to stimulate a reaction in the body and cause a "like cures like" effect. anyway i do "believe" in it and have used it with success most of my life.

I am a firm believer in Homeopathy. It cured me of a serious problem I had with my blood when conventional medicine failed. People I know with similar blood problems are still suffering and undergoing some very nasty orthodox medicine now and here I am completely cured. So I would say it isn't a placebo effect but a science because that stuff works.

Homeopathy - treating symptoms, right?
Placebo effect has its value. If a person is made to feel like they're being looked after and everyhtings gonna be all right, that goes a long way towards helping them recover.

Who said the placebo effect doesn't work? I think it's placebo, but there's something about the human psyche that makes some placebos effective.

Research suggests little or no actual effect. The research involves giving a group of randomly selected subjects homeopathic remedies, and another group (control group) a nonsense remedy, such as sugar pills. Those with the nonsense remedy improve improve just as much as those with the homeopathic remedies.

I personally do not use it but am open to it as with most old wives tales (I do not say that in a derogatory sense) but I have been told by at least two farmers that the finest cure for mastitis in cattle is the homeopathic medicine.................

I beleive it works in many cases. The natural healing and general having your life and mind well to make your body well is correct.
I sometimes disagree with "conventional" medicine whose first response is to alter you body's chemistry by pumping you full of drugs and then maybe chopping bits out of it if they fail.

If you believe it works, and it does indeed make you feel better, what difference does it make?
