Well, they are furry and look cute, but they're not nice.....they bite your hand. When I went to the pet store to buy one the lady told me to get a mouse...and I did! He's dead....buthe lived for five years, could be hand fed, left al;one, and pother cool stuff.

Good Luck!

Hamsters are wonderful pets, provided you let them get used to you. I've owned them since I was about 9 years old, and am still head over heels for those little guys. :)

I would recommend though that if you get one, you start out with a male, as opposed to a female. The females tend to be more aggressive and more territorial, and WILL kill another hamster in their space if they feel threatened. Needless to say, they are not very nice to each other sometimes.

I found a great guide for you to look at. And remember that Hamsters are cute!

hamsters are good pets, although they don't live long, approx. 2 years. I've had two females over the years, and they became part of my family. We loved them so much, and they always new when someone was around..they would go to their cage door and start biting it!

Just a note: if you detect that something could be wrong or is unusual with your hammie, then you should take it seriously, look up symtoms on the web.

if you love them then u won't have a problem!

YES. I just lost my hamster and honestly i was so attached to that lil guy that i cried. People made fun of me...but he was the best hamster ever. He was albino and NEVER bit...like people claim they do. If you want a lil furry friend thats easy to care for then i would say you need a hamster!!!

my daughter (11) has a hamster, they dont all bite, ours doesn't. It also comes to the front of the cage when you walk in the room, looking for a treat. We also have a cat and the hamster chases the cat in her ball. They are easy to keep clean and can use a litter box to pee in. Hope this helps.

Yes, Excepcaily Dwarf Hamsters.
This is all about Dwarf Hamsters.

People always say that Dwarf Hamsters bite, But they really dont, The dwarf probibly only bit them becouse they were being mean! I Have Never Ever Been Bit by my hamster. I let my hamster nibble my fingures, but it doesnt hurt(I enjoy it, it makes me able to trust it)!

When you have a Dwarf Hamster, You dont have to clean there cage as much, you dont have to feed or water them as much(although its nice to give them fresh water), They dont smelll nearly as bad as other BIG Pandas and other Hamsters, as long as you keep there cage clean.
They dont Pee or Poop as much, nor as BIG!

There cute, small, & fun to hold.

When I walk into my bedroom, my Hamster is always waiting for me! And he bites his cage!
