My friend is a young mother, and she needs to place her 3 year old son in a daycare, what are extra fees...?

What are some of the extra fees that a Daycare would charge for? Any parents that are charged for extra services at their daycare.

The daycare that I used in the past didn't charge any "extra fees". I paid $130.00 per week and that included everything, even meals and snacks. If money is tight for your friend, I suggest finding someone who does child care in their home, but, it would still be a good idea for that someone to be a licensed provider. If daycare is what she wants, find one that participates in a childcare financial assistance program (usually funded by the state). It is free to apply and is based on family size and income, if she qualifies it could pay for all or a portion of her daycare costs. The daycare will have the applications there for her to fill out, if they participate in such a program. Most licensed daycares do.

i know some places charge more if your child is not potty trained...alot of daycare places will charge this fee because they are trying to help you potty train the child while you are gone at work....

my friend has a daycare where they charge her extra because they have to change her daughters diapers, are trying to potty train her and trying to get her to break the habit of her Binkie...(pacifier)

My 3 year old granddaughter goes to am expensive preschool in Pa. $180 per week but care from7:30 Am to 6 PM with v2 snacks every day and lunch... teaching environment sufficient staffing...costs reduces with age less hours snacks etc

She thrives at this place much better communication inquisitiveness social skills caring her mom grandma and I are all very happy with everything worth every penny!!

Day care charges alot...I think the best think for her to do is find a young baby sitter!
