Hey all you Science whizzes out there! We are looking for an example of a movable pulley and can't find one anywhere online! Everytime we think we have found one...it turns out to be a block and tackle, or some sort of lever. We already have examples for block and tackles and fixed pulleys. If you can give us an example of one it would be much appreciated. Also, if you are getting your info from a web site, please list the link on here for us. Thanks so much!

Hey, thank you. I'm sorry....I should have been a bit more specific. When I speak of examples I am talking about for instance...a flagpole is an example of a fixed pulley. We have seen diagrams such as what you have shown us...but we can't think of an "actual" example of what one might be. Thanks so much though...sorry for not being more specific. If you find anything else..just add onto what you said.

The "flying fox" or "death slide" is a single movable pulley running on a slightly slanted long fixed rope. It is popular in children's playgrounds and as a Scout construction project.
