What a great question. I had the exact thought yesterday when I was leaving the bank. I imagine in about fifty years cash and coins will be obsolete. There will be no need for them. I don't believe anything will be less than a dollar in fifty years, do you?? Why would anyone need coins anymore?? As far as cash goes, who needs it? Bank cards are so much easier and they eliminate the need for a middle man. Awesome question. I agree 100%.

It's getting closer and a lot of Conservatives are scared to death of it too. They can't lived in a cashless society. Then again, people used to live in a cashless society before and I guess we will again.

Money will become obsolete when people realise they can not eat money. But that day will not be here for another couple hundred years.

I do believe so. I used to actually get a check at my job. Now it's automatic deposit. We are definately becoming a cashless society.

a scary thought - people will have their credit or debit card info. implanted in their finger so they can just hit a touchpad when they check out.
