I'd like to know a particular color, brand, and/or shade that works on someone else with similar coloring.

you sound like you have warm undertones in your skin, so I would go with a red that has orange, or brown undertones in it, and that should compliment your skin tone amazingly.
if you are looking for a vibrant red MAC's shade lady danger would suit you well

or they also have a bit darker, slightly less in your face red called Spice it up!

hopefully that helps. If those are out of your price range, other brands have lots of similar colors. Look for colors that are classified as warm, and you will look great!

You can totally wear red!!!!
I'm a part-time make-up artist and your coloring can do red lips very nicely. Trick if finding a good shade. It sounds like you need a redish/orange base....instead of the red/blue base. Mac, Lorac have some good reds. Mac has some reds that are a matte lipstick so it looks retro and hot. Sephora is a great place to try on lots of lipsticks. If you do that...bring moisturizer (rubbing off lipsticks can chap) and your foundation (reds can discolor your skin around your lips). Have fun.....red is classic...you can't go wrong

I too and blonde, fair but with blue eyes. I sometimes a deep crimson red and whenever I do I get a ton of complements. I think it looks good. Just look for something deeper but dark blood red. I use Avon in Crimson but there are many others.
I think more than anything with red and our skin tones you gotta have the confidence to pull it off.

i totally agree w/the gwen stefani thing. also think christina aguilera (though she's not as pretty or classy). but absolutely! just wear classy clothing & make sure your hair looks good. you can totally pull off red. :D

EDIT: oh, and the point about not overdoing the eyes -- very important. i'd curl my lashes if they're not already curly, and maybe 1 coat of dark brown-black mascara (not too dark, or too much) just so they're not invisible blonde. my mom does that, and her blonde lashes come to life! i wouldn't use eyeliner. if you really want shadow (though i'd personally hold off on that too), just something very light & neutral, and not much of it.

also, i'd look at some MAC lipsticks, just cuz they have so much variety. they have a few deep reds in their Viva Glam series, and 100% of the proceeds go to AIDS research.

good luck -- you'll be a blonde bombshell! :D

Maybeline Wet Shine Strawberry Ice. It is not a true red, but it is slightly sheer and very close to a red. Or for a deeper shade of red Wet Shine has one called Cranberry crush or something to that affect. If they dont siut your needs then ask a cosmetics attendent at the department store. but strawberry ice is the one I used when I had blonde hair.

Sure you do. Remember if you wear dark lip stick wear light eye make-up or none at all. You may want to try a red lip gloss. The pigment is sheer and you won't have bright red lips. Try a light blush or light bronzer on your cheeks with that gloss. I'm sure you'll love it.

if you are a dark blonde, a brownish pink or light brown.
If you are a light blonde, red should look good on you or a rich color of the sort

Revlon's Cherries in the Snow works on almost everyone. It has a bluish/violet undertone that makes teeth look whiter, is not too shiny, is not too matte, and wears well throughout the day. Should be just gorgeous on you.

i'm in the comparable boat as you. Blonde hair, olive eco-friendly eyes. It extremely relies upon on your epidermis tone. you notice, persons are in many cases lumped into "cool" and "heat" skintones. Blondes with darker eco-friendly eyes usually have heat epidermis, yet in addition are "cool" by way of their hair colour. It makes looking a vibrant lipstick confusing. i glance terrible in all reds, whether many blondes with eco-friendly eyes look large, notably in the event that they are very mild. I definitely tend to get pink cheeks and flush definitely. i could propose attempting a copper/gold lipstick or gloss on precise of a "heat" pink coloration. in basic terms ask for "heat" hues on the makeup counter. you additionally can attempt cool hues in case you discover this would not paintings. Glosses will in all probability look extra effective than lipsticks, whether it is your call. I often attempt to discover impartial hues (confusing to do), and that i customarily positioned on clean gloss (Lancome megastar Gloss). stable success!

Think Gwen Stefani, you can pull off a red red lip, but don't do too much on your eyes or cheeks.
