Depends what your pain threshold is really. I've had a friend who fell asleep during a tattoo on the back of her neck and shoulder so it can't hurt that much.

It depends if your going to have it made professionally or home made I mean your going to feel a a burning feeling at first.
But then it kind of numbs enough to follow threw,
It also might hurt a Little more around less meat or fat.
But dint worry its not like your going to get a whole needle its just the very very tip of needle... plus you already have tattoos so your familiar its about the same.......

Yes it will hurt and anyone who tells you other wise is full of it. The more meat and muscle you have the less pain to me. But at the back of your neck is just mainly bone. Pick a small one or pick another location. But if you can take pain then go for it. Mine hurt like sh it but I can take pain cause im a man. LOL

I heard it hurts...I want to put my husband's name on the back of my neck. I all ready have 2 tattoo's on my lower back.

Ooh, Thats exactly where my next tattoo will be. I dont know but I hope not. That area isnt too meaty and usually tattoo's hurt in the meatier areas

Back of the neck is one of the most sensitive spots on your body to get a tatoo. Yes, it will hurt like hell.
