To be honest, I always have to have the last word - with both men and women, so it's not just a male thing, although I know what you mean. My brother is like that even when he is wrong about something - but I still never let him have the last word.

Intelligent men usually have the last word because the female communication satellite has become totally confused as to which planet it is orbiting and what frequency it is transmitting on.
This does not happen with intelligent men !

I have been living with my partner for thirty

I could ask the same about women for that has been my experience.
