Define win. If you mean win in the sense that a US military strike would completely destroy North Korea? Then, the US would win. But, if the US did such a thing, I would expect that a war with China would start soon after - basically WWIII.

Then, there is the issue of possible nuclear strikes. No one in the world wins if nuclear weapons are used.

Korea is no where near prepared for a nuclear exchange.
Even though Katrina made fema look bad I wouldn't underestimate them.

We Would probably do some real damage to Korea if they sent over a few nukes.

It would be the kind of war that is good for our economy.

We had a go in Korea in the early 50s if I remember. Who cares now? Only the families and loved ones of those who were killed and maimed. We didn't win then and we wouldn't win again. Hundreds of young men - I remember the Worcestershire regiment suffered particularly - never came back. When will we learn the futility of war?

While the US is busy in North Korea, Canada will launch a suprise invasion of curlers who will see to it that curling will replace the NFL as the most popular sport in the US.

So Canada would win.

I am a Vietnam vet who spent 18 months over there. Believe me, there is no such thing as a win when it comes to war. Only the loss of young men and women on both sides of the line, and a lot of grieving parents. Let's hope we will not find out the answer to your question.

Take a look at the last time we fought there. It was called an armed conflict but it was nothing short of a war. There was alot of loss of life on both sides and because of the mountain terrian and cold weather a very difficult war to fight. The US won the last time and would do so again.
But really who wins when there is war. No one does!

It's not a question of winning. It's a question of what kind of losses is a country willing to tolerate.

And right now, the US is about 15 Congressional seats away from losing all will to fight.

I do not think it is a matter of winning or loosing, it is trying to make things better for both communities.
War has its time, and we may never be without it,but working together can make a difference.

NK, because the US can't even win in Iraq, and N. Koreans fight a hella lot harder and better than Iraqis.

to the person above, the US did not win the last time. it ended in cease fire. technically we're still at war with them.

In terms of the usual criterions...The US will win the war
But PROK will win in the court of public opinion.
