I saw a video clip of a Tiger that had escpaed out of the coils of a python and wouned the snake very badly. The Tiger escaped because the snake could not get all of it's coils around the tiger. To me, it appeared that the tiger had more strength than the snake had anticipated! But lets say the Amur (siberian) Tiger which is the king of all cats, against the Anaconda the king of all snakes! who would win that battle? I know it woulld'nt happen naturally because they do not co-exist with each other(meaning they live on separate continents). I myself like the Amur Tiger in this one because of its size, and strength. After all this tiger is capable of bringing down Russian brown bears! It is said that the Amur Tiger can grow to be over 9 ft. long and weight over a 1,000 pounds! I would guess the snake would be history!

The typical size of a green anaconda is about 18 feet and 300 pounds. The maximum is 33 feet and 550 pounds. The typical male tiger weighs about 500 pounds with 845 pounds very rare but entirely possible. Reticulated pythons may, as you mention, attempt to eat tiger cubs but an adult will not be attacked. The coils are a great weapon for the snake but unless the tigers claws are unfortunately pinned inside the coils the tiger can rip the snake in half. These snakes are exceedingly strong. Also if the tiger's head is not coiled up by the snake a bite should cause the snake to release its grip and slither away. Bottom line, adult tiger 100% safe from pythons or anacondas hypothetically.

Tiger Vs Anaconda

Dude, your question is really interesting, but trying to predict the outcome is like trying to predict the outcome of a match between Bruce Lee and Jackie Chan!, still let see, the tiger will surely inflict some severe wounds on the anaconda, but if the anaconda is as tough as it is reputed to be, then there is a possibilty that it could squeeze the tiger to death. I would settle for a no-contest or no result, but otherwise I'd go for the anaconda, IF it can get all its coils around the tiger else the tiger wins!

Anaconda's are pretty weak and no they don't "kill off" things when they're annoyed, also all of those animals would be too big for even the biggest anaconda and could easily fend one off using teeth, claws antlers or just their sheer size. Any one of the other animals listed could easily step or bite the anacondas head or neck until it's skull or trachea was crushed. The anaconda would be too slow to strike on land especially if it had no hiding place for an ambush. Grizzly beats gorilla because grizzlies are way bigger at about 990 lbs while even the heaviest gorillas only weigh 590 lbs. Grizzly bears have sharp teeth and claws while gorillas have only finger nails and not a very strong bite. Tigers would obviously win against a lion because Siberian Tigers are bigger than even male lions. They are also just as experienced in fighting as a lion because they fight over territory with other tigers. The male lions mane would not be too much protection because during fights (not while hunting) tigers don't even go for the neck. Either tiger or bear could kill a moose. A tiger would tie against a grizzly because Ussuri brown bears (a subspecies of grizzly bears) are occasionally preyed on by Siberian tigers, and are estimated to make up 1.0-1.5% of their diet. They are typically attacked by tigers more often than the smaller black bears, due to their habit of living in more open areas and their inability to climb trees. When hunting bears, tigers will position themselves from the leeward side of a rock or fallen tree, waiting for the bear to pass by. When the bear passes, the tiger will spring from an overhead position and grab the bear from under the chin with one forepaw and the throat with the other. The immobilised bear is then killed with a bite to the spinal column. After killing a bear, the tiger will concentrate its feeding on the bear's fat deposits, such as the back, legs and groin. Tiger attacks on bears tend to occur when ungulate populations decrease. While tigers can successfully hunt bears, there are also records of brown bears killing tigers but in in a one one one fight it it would be a tie between the two animals.Yeah so it's a draw for the grizzly and the tiger.

Tiger because It's at least as fast and it has 10 cm huge razor sharp claws. Anaconda must do an ambush attack to take down the tiger, but that is unlikely because predators are very aware of ambushes.

I agree, the tiger is to fast and with those claws, teeth, size, and power the anacondas only chance would be to get its body around the tiger and squeeze. Good luck with that! I don't see it happening this is a huge cat with awesome reflexes with to many weapons each of which could kill the snake. Tiger all the way!

Tiger is the winner because his much stronger and bigger. That video I saw between them the tiger won. The tiger, the lion and the crocodile kills the anaconda at once. And they all three wins easy against the anaconda, especially the crocodile.

Yea... I think the Tiger would win as well... Those kinds of tigers have enormous teeth and claws and the anaconda is known for squeezing its prey to death.... So I think that the tiger would shred it for sure.

I think the tiger would do some serious damage to the snake, but probably not enough to kill it, and a wounded anaconda can still do a lot of damage. I think it would kill the tiger pretty quickly, but it is possible the snake might later die from its wounds.
