Jock itch and athlete's foot are ussually caused by fungal infections. There are over the counter products that ussually fix this. If your son has this problem constantly and when you use a cream or spray to cure it it comes back soon thereafter there are several posssibilities
1. You do not use the cream or spray often enough and long enough for it to completely kill the fungal bacterial infection so it gets little that you do not notice it and then when you stop treating it in a while it grows back. A few days later you would notice it again;

2. Another posibility if it keeps returning is that you are after getting rid of it touching another part of the body that has this infection or another place like a wet counter or a rag used to wash this area and then touching it to your body in that reagion.

Please understand that fungi grow well in moist dark room temperature places. Body tempertature is fine for them also.

To get rid of them you need to prevent such places form existing where there are seds for his infection to grow from.

Uncircumsized and circumsized can both have this problem. In the circumsized it is ussually the residual area where the skin overfolds the other parts most of the time there is a small area where it can be particuarly hard to completely kill this fungus.

There is something they can try some report it helps them. Just be alone and take it out and pull back any overflapping skin and let it air dry for a while. Gently waving some air towards it with a hand or fan helps. You want to cause all the moisture on it to dry up. You want to do this long enough time so any remaining fungi is in a dry place for a few minutes. If there is a place where this can be done so that direct sunlight sunbeams can get through a window so they are going stright to this area that may help. It may be that the process the body uses to turn sun light into vitamin d may help a little with that problem Of course we do not want this to be an invite for any sort of erotic behavior. Air is one of the keys. Letting the skin dry is another.

Make sure you dry under the foreskin and maybe from time to time let it sort of air out a little. Undo the skin to gently pull it back and let it be exposed to the air so it can dry up some. I do not know if this will help as much as I am guessing that it would but we know that wet skin laying against wet skin is a great place for fungi and other stuff to ferment.

Persons who suffer from being overweight often have a similar problem where folds of torso fat fold over leg fat or between the legs and the like.

One good way to kill bacterial infections and fungi that attack through the skin is to wet skin and let it air dry several times in a row say five to eight times at one sitting. You wet the skin and let it dry and wet it again and let it dry.

This causes capillary action that dries skin up. Each time you wet it and let it dry [more moisture] evaporates than you put on it. If skin is hosting a fungal infection and you wet and dry it in this way sometimes this is a good way to get rid of the infection. In the winter we often lick our lips and they dry so we lick them again. Doing this repeatedly often causes cracked lips. THis happens because this capilary action that causes surfaces which are wet and dried repeatedly to be come more dry each time this is done effects our lips to become over dry.
You can use this to dry up jock itch or athlete's feet.

When I was young I had a problem on my feet. the doctor a skin specialist gave me a prescription powder and I had to mix it up and dilsolve it in a pan of water and then soak my feet in it for a few minutes and then towel dry with a fresh towel and then air dry it between the toes holding them open to let air and dryness get in there. I did this five times in a row four seperate times throughout the day. Soak my feet in it and then thouroughoy dry them and then let them sit up in the air seperating the toes so the air dired them up.

It worked.

Then one day I could not afford the doctor or the prescription and I had read about capilary action and tried it without the prescription. It still worked for me.

Works for some to cure athletes’ foot and for jock itch. Takes a little time to do each day for about a week to ten days. If some one suffering from fungal infection does this three to five times a day drying wetting and re-drying it five to eight times each of those three to five sessions they can create an environment where the fungal infection will not be supported. It is an inexpensive way to fight such an infection if you cannot afford the creams at the drug store.

You also might cut out soft drinks and sugar enriched drinks and products from the diet. Having that diet creates an environment in the body and on the body that helps these sort of infectino grow. Also eat one yogurt daily and plenty of fresh fruits and raw vegetables.

What ever you do be sure to do it for a week after the redness and iritation goes away to be sure that you treated it completely and then be very carefull where one places their hands and other things like wash rags and towels before they touch the areas of the body where this infection has occured. Preventing oneself from doing that can help keep it from coming back .

If you try this and it does not work and you can not afford a doctor contact me at my eamail answwerman@yahoo.com and I will try to ask probing questions and come up with a stronger non medical treatment that might work.

This information comes from a combination of reading various books about this, talking to others and personal experiences.

If Excessive sweating is your problem you'll find here vert good tips: http://bitly.com/CureYourExcessiveSweating

About 2% to 3% of the general population experience excessive sweating a condition called hyperhidrosis which can occur with or without a trigger. The most common type is called primary (or focal) hyperhidrosis and it has no known cause, although it seems to run in families. You may have a different type of excessive sweating called secondary (or generalized) hyperhidrosis.
This means that your symptoms may be due to an underlying medical condition or disease (e.g., nerve damage or a hormone disorder), or due to a side effect of a medication you are taking. Talk to your doctor.

Try an over the counter spray called 'Lotrimin' which you can get at any drug store. And yes, if its confined to the jock area, its probably jock itch, and not allergies.

Daily use for about two weeks will clear it up.

A lot of this is caused by an allergic reaction to your laundry detergent if you use a biological detergent change to non-biological. Always wear cotton underwear (loose fitting). If not caused by the above it sometimes it can be caused by excessive sweating down below and the best cure for that is for him to trim his pubes and refrain from wearing underwear for a while this one worked for me as both biological detergents and excessive sweating gave me jock itch. I am now free from the same and have been for more than 20 years and I also wear fairly loose boxer shorts.

It may not be "jock itch" - he may be allergic to your laundry detergent. If he continues to scratch, make sure that he starts showering as soon as possible after activities where he where he sweats a lot and drying his crotch thoroughly. Wash his underwear with Lysol in the "wash" cycle - as well as his sheets and blankets. There are also ointments sold over-the-counter for this.
