Last night I was playing "Dead Rising" on my xbox 360, when the action on the game slowed down to half of the normal speed. Every character, and all of their actions were playing out in slow motion. This has never happened before.
Has anyone experienced this on an Xbox 360?
Should I be worried?

I'm also getting "disc error" messages and I was playing for a couple of hours.

I have read about Dead Rising causing trouble on a lot of 360s, mainly launch units. The other poster is right, it might be overheating the system.

Have you been getting dirty disc errors or having your games lock up? If you start to notice errors like this and they become more and more frequent, you could be heading towards a total system failure. All you can do then is get it serviced or replaced (for much cheaper if you're under warranty).

If your system does happen to break down and you send it off to get it replaces under your warranty, make sure you specify that you do NOT want a refurbished unit. Those are almost guranteed to fail within a short time.

As it is now, though, don't assume your system is doomed. Just pay attention when you're playing.

could be your xbox, average is 1 return per person, ive known people who sent back 5 xbox360's as they keep breaking.

Dead rising really gives it to your 360 in the ***, its a huge game on the engines as upto 1000 zombies at once. Just remain calm, and be safe in the knowledge that this happens to all. And give the disc a wipe with a proper disc cloth.

peace.

My Xbox 360 somtimes slows down if i have music playing and if i am playing a game. This is actually my 2nd xbox the hard drive failed on my first one. The slowing down thing should be nothing to worry about.

If it overheats it is going to diminish off via itself and you will no longer have the skill to play till it cools itself off. it will have 2 flashing rings. i spotted if I left my entertainment midsection door closed with my 360 working, the followers could get very loud so confirm that is in an open place. different than that the 360 already has noticable noise.
