When the big bang happened I don't think that there were that many forests around - or people to hear it come to that!
But it did still make a noise - sound is by waves, doesn't matter if anyone can hear it or not - it still happens!

Because it is a theoretical question, the theoretical answer is that it cannot have been the big bang if it happened in a tiny forest, so it must have been a medium tiny bang or an eensie weensie bang.
And Did it make the proverbial noise? Oh yes it did. Uh huh. most definitely.

That should have been included in the BIG Bang organizers environmental impact study. But I think there was no noise because the permit was rejected to protect the spotted grubworm mating grounds. Perhaps they could do the Big Bang in Congress. It would make noise but no one there hears anything anyway.

Well, the Big Bang is generally thought of as the beginning of the Universe so what forest would you be talking about? Sound is vibration so if there was vibration ther was sound. It doesn't matter if anyone hears it or not.

Yes because all the forest had been destroyed and replaced by a manipulating, planet killer supermarket and the woman with the small child on aisle 3 was showered in the blast by excess non-recyclable packaging (ironically made from trees) from a nasty tasting, nutritionally devoid, microwavable ready meal which will clog her childs arteries as it grows up resulting in premature death.
Rant over, proceed.

You altered this question from the one about the big bang happening in outer space (which it did, so I'm told, because no-one was there to actually hear it!).

The sound vibration was there - whether or not it reached any human ears.
Some"thing" had to hear it - there's always a critter in a forest that can hear.

how did you know it actually happened??? should your question not have been "If a tree falls in a forest and no one was around, does it make a sound?" because later you could see the tree had fallen!!
