Fantasy wise do you think trading Cuttino Mobley for Brandon Roy is a good trade?

I'd take the risk and go for Brandon Roy... cause he's gonna be getting hefty minutes... and plays TWO positions...

Cuttino Mobley is a known NBA commodity, while Brandon Roy
is not. I would take the veteran over anproven rookie at this point.
I would say yes, if you are trading Roy for Mobley, and no, if
you are trading Mobley for Roy, because Roy is an unknown NBA
player at this time. He could be a bust, or he could be an alltime
great, but at this point, nobody really knows how he is going to
do in the NBA.

It's hard to tell what you'll get from a rookie and whether or not he'll give you good fantasy numbers. But, one thing to keep in mind about Mobley is that he's vying for one of 2 starting positions along with Corey Maggette and Quinton Ross and it was just in the paper that he's offered to come off the bench for he sake of team unity, so if that happens, his minutes could be reduced from last season and his fantasy numbers would go down.

So, either player could end up a fantasy gamble. The one thing in Roy's favor is he's playing in Portland, and it's looking likely he'll get some big minutes. And the one thing in Mobley's favor is that if Maggette is injured, which is likely cuz he's injury prone, Mobley minutes and numbers will go up.

Anyway, because Mobley is a proven player who has put up good fantasy numbers in the past, and because the uncertainty of what you can expect to get from a rookie, I lean toward no.
