When they don't do more for charities, or spend their money on expensive things. I'm talking about those that are million, or even billionaires. Isn't it their money, that they earned? It is a very nice and considerate gesture to share and donate some of that money, sure, but why do some people feel they should, otherwise it makes them a bad person?

It's very strange that when you've worked hard to attain success, then everybody assumes you should not have the right to keep the money you've earned and that you should give it all away.

It's even more stupid that people who have never done a hard days work in their life simply assume that they should be propped up by those who have.

Rich people pay a huge amount of taxes on their money, sometimes in the highest tax bad. So technically they have done their part to support the fabric of society.

Charitable donations are a very personal thing, these people may or may not support good causes. They probably don't make a huge show of it.

I think it is very rude to try to enforce charity.

It is not an accusation it,s the norm and while you can keep the wheel turning you can keep feeding the chosen few. If you had the knowledge and the power to control a habit that would give you an eternal income and wealth beyond your wildest dreams why would you give it up,since most humans are ungrateful by nature starting from our first ancestors,we have inherited a trait that is in-borne,we normally are never contented with what we have and will do whatever to get more of it.Deliverance from such habits are a real challenge since the lack of and disconnected attitudes of the rich cannot fathom the connection to their status via the poor, the poor pays more by far ,so who,s is really richer, contentment decay and in humility attitude abound today and the bridge widens, read a book by Richard Reich (the building of a nation)to get a real insight, thanks for the question.

I guess it stems from the mentality that if someone already has everything then why would they want or need even more? They have so much more to give than the rest of us do.

Because those that have the ability and wherewithall should help those who can't. This doesn't mean help those that don't want to help themselves but could if they chose not be such lazy asses.

because they aren't doing anything with their money-- do something constructive-- give back to the world that has done so much for you. i don't necessarily think they're selfish- just not at all beneficial to this earth.
