If one is sincere in the apology, it can mean something depending on the attitude of the person receiving the apology. If one isn't sincere and the "apologee" can tell, it not only means nothing, it could cause the person to feel angry.

I also think an apology takes some time to be accepted - actions speak louder than words.

Only when the person truly means. But if they throw "Im sorry" around everytime theres a problem and it comes out without thought then no it doesnt mean anything.

It only means something to the person who is sorry. Being sorry is a state of mind, not an apology.

It depends but nowadays we use a lot "i'm sorry" that we take it too for granted and we say it even if we don't mean it!! soo you have to be very careful when you say it!

Depends on the person...unfortunately words are cheap to some people. I think actions speak a lot louder most of the time.

It does to me ....
when I say I am sorry
I mean it......
and I trust when someone
says it to me they mean
it too and it they don't mean it
the fact that they said sorry
means something.

Depends on how much you mean it. It's really not so much the words but the way you feel about it.

Only if you truly mean it and do not need to say it all the time.

If you say it often or with insincerity, then it means nothing. I don't use it alot. I use, "Well, I'm sorry that you feel that way."
