For example, if the Democrats take over the house like they want to predict, but the Republicans take over in my state, which is going to affect me more, or which should I care about the most, if either? Thanks

A take over in the DC House of Reps by the dems will be much more devastating than the dems controlling your state. Think of this: if the dems take over DC we will have higher taxes, fewer jobs (outside govt. jobs), more rights for perverted life styles, more illegal immigration, a take over by the terrorists in the mideast and elsewhere, a takeover of the judiciary by incompetent left wingers, and a rape of our military, etc etc. Just bad bad things.

In Congress definitely. There's a slim chance of me voting republican in the governor's race, but I seriously hope that the republicans don't win congress again.

I agree all politics are local...but nationally is even more important because the laws they write become laws all over America...the federal courts trump state courts.

You shouldnt care about either. No real change will come about until we have fair campaign financing and more than two crooked parties competing to **** over the country.

Completely seperate issues. If you are talking about your state level politicians, they make laws that apply only in your state.

Your states senators and congressmen (federal level) make the laws for the nation.
