I have just carried out another test on my Canon printer using cartridges that cannot be refilled. Using a light setting I managed to get 90 sheets of paper out of the colour cartridge that cost me £16.95. The image is equal to 2/3rds A4. A computer motherboard can be purchased for as little as £20 so how come a few drops of ink in a plastic container can cost so much? The answer, these Japanese, Taiwanese and American syndicates are cheating the world out of millions of dollars every day and I want to expose them. Anyone want to help me?

Yep!! Printer manufacturers have had a ball with the ink issue. What model is your printer.??I have had success with JetTec inks and chip resetters on supposedly unrefillable carts!!.Have you tried the Inksaver software.? It reduces your amount of ink usage and can offer great savings with still highly acceptable results.Hope some of these suggestions help !! I tried to source the real costs of inks but drew a blank and thats why I took the plunge and managed to refill the unfillable carts .Gave me some satisfaction not to be lining the pockets of the big boys !!

I doubt that it's impossible to refill Canon cartridges.
New Canon cartridges CLI-8, PGI-5, PG-40,50, CL-41,51,52 are all refillable. You can get instructions at http://fillserv.com/support/refillinstructions.php

I get frustrated by the over pricing of ink. Sometimes it seems cheaper to buy a brand new printer than ink for the one you already have!

Maybe a petition but I don't know who you would address it too?
