have just registed on my space and i cant change the background i have got these background codes for myspace but they just dont change i put them in the "about me " bit and when i try to upload a picture it wont let me, i press browse and nothing happens
can anyone help me?

As above. I think it is having a few problems today though.
Always make sure you've clicked the save changes button too - otherwise you lose everything you've done.
Also make sure you click upload as well as the browse button. I always make the mistake of just pressing browse.

MySpace is a little tempramental at times......
Make sure that when you Paste in the codes, you click on the 'SAVE ALL CHANGES' button at the top. As for pictures, you'll need to open a picture hosting acount such as Photobucket, when you have loaded your pics in there just select the one(s) you want an click 'Generate html/IMG Code' and it'll give you the codes to paste onto your profile.
MySpace pages are all basically copy and paste boxes, -you copy the codes from other webpages and paste it into any of the boxes when you 'edit your profile'.

Lots of people around who've given then My Space's web address to their page, has gone for the more GAUDY look. I reckon, they need to think twice about HOW stressful it gets for the readers' eye to read through their profile, due to the rubbish colour combination used for the background & the text appearing on top of it.
Majority of the website uses WHITE background with BLACK text on it. Rather easy to read & hence making people little interest in actually STAYING longer on your page. I COULD NOT wait for more than 5 seconds on any of the My Space's profile given by couple of people here.
