first of all you do not tell them you ask them. just ask them to marry you. i did and my husband and i were married for 20 years and 19 children.

by the way, r u the man or the woman?
if woman easy only just say it out because woman wont feel that shy as man. maybe i m wrong it actually depends on different type of girl.
for man, think of creative way to express ur love or should i say propose. u may do anything that will make ur gf happy. i cannot actulally each u becaue i dun noe ur girlfriend like what

Usually, I know this may sound weird but, usually people PROPOSE to one another. But I suppose if instructing someone to marry you is how you wish to get married, then I suppose you should threaten them until they agree.
