Chances are, you won't be able to get them done. To insure proper healing, the jewelry has to stay in during the healing period. Since using plastic is out of the question (plastic/arcrylic is horrible for new piercings. I can harvest bacteria and cause infections because of how porous it is), it might be hard for you to find a flesh colored material you can use. Maybe your job just don't want huge, tacky earrings? Can you place a bandaid over the area during work, if so, then you might be able to get them done....but it's still questionable.

Find a different job, different piercing or wait. Sorry

What's the real reason you are not allowed to wear them at work? Is is a practical one, such as they don't want jewelry falling into food or delicate machinery?

In that case, don't go with the clear studs. If one of those gets found, it won't be hard for them to figure out who has pierced ears. You lose your job, AND possibly get sued.

If it's just that your boss doesn't like the look, then the clear stud is the best way to keep the hole open, but be discrete at work.

(by the way, an employer CAN enforce a dress code, even if the code does not have any practical reason, as long as the code does not discriminate.)

Do you work in a hospital with MRI's? This may sound silly, but look for earrings that are for Barbie. They're almost always plastic.

If it's because of something else like your boss or some kind of weird dress code then I don't really have a suggestion other than they have really small earrings you can buy, they're very tiny studs. You can get them just about anywhere. Or wear earrings that are close in color with your skin tone. Although I think if it's just because of your boss then that's discrimination. Find something about them to pick on that bothers you, then maybe they'll see eye to eye.

If it bothers you once you have your earring OUT, wash with cleansing soap and water. the secret's to maintain something in it all of the time. you ought to use polysporine or tea tree oil on the stud/hoop to maintain it sparkling and disinfected. turn it interior the hollow each as quickly as and awhile. at last it is going to "heal", and could no longer challenge you (as long as you do no longer pass "an prolonged time without wearing jewelry"). i've got no longer worn mine for a 300 and sixty 5 days, and that i'm able to nevertheless get them in.

I've never heard of women never being able to wear earrings at work. I'm a cashier and we're not allowed to wear big, dangly earrings. It's just not professional and is distracting.
We're allowed to wear studs of any color though, and hoops as well.
I know that men are not allowed to wear studs whatsoever at my work though. Talk to your boss or manager.. I'm sure the two of you can work something out.

You must got a very strict boss. I have seen a lot of women wear earrings to work. It has to be normal earrings. Go to a Ross store and see what they have in their jewelry. They don't want BIG earrings that will drop off from your ear.

Your holes will close up if you take the earrings out too soon.

Wear your hair down to cover your ears or get the clear flat retainers to keep the hole open but they arent noticeable. I have to do it for soft ball cuz we cant have tongue rings. You can probably find them at claires

Check with your boss and let him understand that the small gold posts you have to wear for about two or three weeks are temporary and you know the rules but you have to be cautious about the medical problem of infection...I hope that works for you....Wally
