Where can I buy a kind of short grass for the lawn that I do not have to do the mowing so often ?

they sell seed, northern hardy, for a 'no mow' grass seed. i think it DOES eventually grow to 6 or 8 inches, but you only have to mow a couple of times a season.
this grass is only for the northern states, not southern.
i LOVE this company, btw... they have great products.

century grass is a short grass that makes excellent ground cover. usually sold in plugs it is easy to start this grass in an already growing lawn and let it take over. some grass and seed catalogs carry therm, I've also seen the in Yankee Magazine, sometimes in the weekly newspaper in the little "magazine"insert.

your local agricultural agent will also have the names of other types that will serve you well and that grows well in your climate and will be able to direct you where to purchase them.

you can also search the net for on line grass and seed sales, they can tell you what's best for area as well.

you need to call your local agricultural extension service and they can help you. Different kinds of grasses work in different parts of the country. If you take the advice of someone outside your area, the grass may not grow.

Check out Eco-Lawn. It'll grow long eventually, but it's slow growing. Also, it needs very little water or fertilizer. I have it in my front yard and and I love it.
