Most Americans look to the wrong place for happiness. They have dreams that can never be fulfilled. they put all of their faith in a dying world let lets them down every day. They cannot see that their only hope for happiness does not lie here, but in the life following this one----an eternal life in the kingdom of heaven. Jesus keeps me going each day---without him I probably would have committed suicide years ago, but knowing that I do have a future with God and that I can work in that future here and now today gives me great faith and hope. I have known so many people that have had their lives turned around by throwing off the old life and following Christ. There is no way that I would go back to the life I used to live---it was useless and pointless and hopeless. We would be a much happier nation if we would just put off the temptation of the devil---the drugs, the alcohol, the porno, the sexism---and put on the glory of Jesus Christ. God loves America, but he will bring us into judgment if we do not repent.

i don't want to attack anybody, but i think that they are so tired and unhappy because they are bored of all the things they have. america is a rich country, full of posibilities... if you live in an isolated country (from africa for example) where you don't have so many things to do to occupate your time, you'll enjoy every moment, everything you have...
maybe i am wrong... but this could be a point of view...

I think you are just talking to the wrong people. I am not unhappy, miserable or tired. I am happy, well rested and excited and thankful at the approach of a new day. God bless

If you live in Europe, you are enjoying about a month more vacation time (or maybe two months) more than she gets. Plus, this current Bush administration is dragging us through the mud with a war we don't need to be in, which is tiring everyone here out !

Media. They are told to be miserable, single, over-worked, high spending, fast food eating, makeup buying, wasteful, unappreciative consumers. Programming from radio, TV, and the internet tell you these things and we back up their propaganda on our newest Wal-Mart purchased cell phones. Many other countries aren't ran entirely on a commerical driven society, and the consumers become content with last year's computer, and a smaller gas-efficient car. They work less, spend less and get to enjoy life MUCH MUCH MUCH more than any of us Americans do.

because they eat a lot of fat and sugar and tire themselves out invading countries in which they have no business ... not the best recipe for health or happiness!
