The question is: How many of you are aware of the bill that has passed in French Parliament and what is your opinion of limiting the freedom of expression.

I am aware of the Bill but I don't know that it has already been passed. It is an unusual bill since the France is not the ultimate arbiters of history, especially Turkish history, and such a bill certainly closed the doors to any scientific or historical analysis which may lend itself to a different conclusion. It is part of a strategic and bigger plan that France has for Turkey and its bid to join the EU.

Here in Switzerland is also illegal to deny the Holocaust and we dont feel deprived of anything. It happened, and the least that we can do is respect those whose ancestors suffered from it.
In the USA, you can't even wear a T-shirt that says Bush is stupid without getting kicked out of many places. That disturbs me more, because it is true, yet you are not allowed to say it! lol

Yeah, they made the denying of it an offense, just like it is an offense to deny the holocaust. The Truks deliberitaly, cruelly, and indiscrminately killed one million Armenians. What is your question or issue?

You can wear a shirt that says you hate Bush, as a matter of fact lots of people loudly proclaim how much they hate him. Do you even live in the US?
